Windows 8.1 Start Screen Concept

Contains a number of new features such as OS Switching, WinSync, and SmartRun.

OS Switching:
Allows the user to seamlessly switch between operating systems, such as Windows 7 and Windows XP, as well as the standard Windows 8 desktop.
The user is also able to OS switch with Linux and Mac OS X.

WinSync:
Simplifies the connection between all your Windows devices (smartphone, tablet, PC) by connecting all the information up wirelessly. This means that all data on your smartphone/tablet/PC passes freely between each other. However, this data is only transferred to your device when the user wishes to access it, saving space.

SmartRun:
A minimal alerting system that places a thin white band around apps that are currently running (seen around YouTube, Facebook and other apps above). Apps surrounded by a green band are security apps (Seen above - Kaspersky is surrounded by a green band).
